Our programs focus more on what makes life work, rather than emphasizing the dangers of doing what
doesn’t work i.e., drugs, violence, suicide, etc., we believe that you can offset these negative issues through
education (skill and talent development), character deve-lopment (Respect, personal responsibility, etc.), and
through problem-solving/conflict resolution (Life skills). We are not selling a quick fix to substance abuse,
violence, or any other negative lifestyle choice. We do promote the idea that healthy, successful living takes
effort over time, and that anything worth having is not necessarily easy to obtain.
For the individual we believe that developing talents (Academic, artistic, athletic, etc.) |
is a key to long-term
success, and that talents are developed through personal responsibility, self-discipline, and a positive mental
attitude. We also believe that living a successful life includes developing quality relationships. Therefore, we
emphasize the importance of respect; respect for self, others, and the environment. We also believe that life
involves learning to deal with problems, this is why we teach the importance of developing conflict resolution
skills. Furthermore, we believe that to be affective you must touch the lives of those who have the most
influence in a child’s life naming their parents, teachers, and other adult community members.
